Summer 2012

We have been super busy around the shop!  We are bringing in new pieces of furniture every week and we are also stocking up on some great home decor and gift items. 

The Outdoor Flea Markets at Poppyseeds are so much fun.  It is awesome to welcome local vendors to our shop.  Out last Flea Market for 2012 is this Saturday August 25th from 10am-4pm. 

Thse great market bags just arrived!  They are made from Up-cycled pillow cases.  They are daring for taking to the market, a diaper bag, beach bag, or just about anything!!

 We are super excited to be a part of Ruffles & Rust - A Vintage Market to Inspire again this fall.  It will be held October 12th & 13th at the Evergreen State Fair Grounds in Monroe, Wa.

The Island Chicks Vintage Show in Anacortes on September 15th.

Next Saturday ~ April 28th from 9am-3pm we will be at The Island Chicks show in Anacortes, WA.  This is an Exciting Spring Shopping Event for Antiques, Vintage, Re purposed, Refreshed and Handmade Treasures for Home and Garden! 

Over 30 Vendors with Fabulous Stuff! Saturday April 28th, Port of Anacortes, Transit Shed Event Center.

Admission is $5.00 per person or bring a non-perishable food item and admission is $3.00 per person. All collected food will be donated to the Anacortes 100 Food bank.

Roger of My Country Wood Crafts

Made from hand picked Cedar. Each piece has been cut, sanded and assembled with stainless steel fasteners and treated with a Transparent Western Red Cedar Penofin Oil Finish that has a 99% U.V. protection, followed by application of Brazilian Rosewood Oil.

We want to share a customer comment with you because it really meant a lot to us. A very nice woman Carmen has been a Customer of ours over the past few years. Carmen lives in a Cottage on Queen Anne in Seattle and follows our blog. We were so excited to help her refurnish her dining room. She picked out a large bamboo floor mat, a roll top desk, black round pedestal table and the two chairs seen in the picture below. We also refinished her antique chairs in a shabby white finish and burlap seats. They are seen below also.

Carmen wrote:

Greetings from Poppyseeds

We have been really busy around the shop. The chimney recently had a little sprucing up.
Furniture, furniture & MORE furniture has been coming and going! We have sold two chair sets with these darling reproduction of German Grain Sacks. We think they turned out pretty fantastic. More chairs are in the works!
Fun table #4 just arrived at the shop and is ready for a new home.

This shabby black roll top desk is a great piece that just arrived. I LOVE that you can work away and then just roll down to top to 'hide' it all!! I need a roll top on a few other pieces of furniture in my home..... :o)

Julie has been busy restyling rooms. We are loving this new display using plum & white.

New jewelry just arrived including these awesome cuffs!

October 29th - Island Retreat Antique & Vintage Market (formerly Island Chicks) - in Anacortes, WA. is a incredible show right on the waterfront. RETREAT is now the host of this show and we are so excited to a part of this show again. The dealers bring all of the best vintage and antique you can find!
